After having few years of downtime, then coming back under Lenovo’s brand name, currently Motorola catching up the market. In India Motorola was very successful with their Moto G4 version. Due to that there were so much hype and rumor about Moto G5 and G5 plus since they have shown it in their Motorola World congress this year.

Moto G5 need to stand in the market with tough competition from Nokia new android based phones and other Chinese manufactures mid range phones.

What is good about Moto G5 ?

1) Well. First impressive part is the build quality. The ‘metal’ build phone looks attractive. Top edge comes in plastic.

2) Primary camera. At 12MP with 4K resolution it can gurantee you quality pictures.

3) Rear camera with Wide-angle lenses. Good option for selfie lovers.

4) Included Finger print scanner (which was only present with Moto G4 plus)

5) Good performance with gaming and multi task functions.

6) Stock Android. By default Moto G5 comes with NOUGAT (Android 7.0)

What is NOT good about Moto G5?

1) When companies are increasing RAM to good sizes (esp flagships like One plus 3 to 6 GB RAM), Motorola G5 RAM is still with 2 GB. At least 3 GB would have been good.

2) Snapdragon 430 is a bit on a downside, and we need to see how much performance will be impacted with lot of apps running.

Verdict:
If you are looking for a mid-range smart phone with all the basic feature and value for money, you could go for Moto G5. Especially on this price range Motorola giving a worth device.

If you need a flagship killer experience, it is not the one for you.
